About
I am Ubaid Ali, a transportation planner and traffic engineering specialist with over 13 years of experience across Canada, Pakistan, and the Middle East. My work has spanned public sector agencies, major consulting firms, and complex urban development projects, giving me a unique perspective on how traffic studies are reviewed and interpreted by agencies.
I now focus on independent advisory review and technical quality control for traffic impact studies (TIAs/TIS), providing a confidential second set of eyes before submission. This includes reviewing trip generation, network assignments, intersection capacity, AutoTurn/site access layouts, and overall study assumptions to flag risks and improve clarity and defensibility.
I also provide short advisory sessions and training for junior staff or small consulting teams, helping improve modeling workflows, study methodology, and submission readiness.
I do not serve as the engineer of record or provide stamped documents. My role is strictly advisory.
